Felreaver are fantastic! Felreavers are infuriating! Huge, walking, mechanical, level 70 elite monsters that patrol through Hellfire Peninsula (HP), the first zone of Outland. Most characters exploring, questing, or hunting in HP are around levels 58-63, so the felreavers are far beyond what we can fight. You always have to keep an eye and ear open for these behemoths.

I think there are three felreavers in the zone, and they have a mechanical howl and make the ground shake when they are near you. These warnings and their sheer size are usually enough to keep you from being surprised by them, but occasionally they approach while you are engaged with another monster.

I got caught by one. They are brutal. My pet and I took massive damage: 1819, 2079, 1845. These were not crits; they were normal damage.

After rezzing, I went on to make level 61. I broke through the former level max. Huzzah!
