I logged into my Alliance character to talk to a couple of friends in WoW. They mostly play Alliance side. This was the first time they had seen my Alliance character, a female human priest.
“Slutty” was the term used to describe her. Cleavage, bare midriff, Daisy Duke shorts—woot! I’m considering seeing how well I can play her “naked.” (You can only go down to underwear in WoW.) With the priest’s shield spell, she doesn’t need armor. The stat buffs are the only reason she needs any cloths at all — that’s the only reason she has a mace.
But this is something I dislike about WoW — a character’s look changes completely within a few levels. I wish we could upgrade the enhancements on our gear, rather than having to change the gear completely to get better enhancements.
I really liked the nightscape gear I once had on my orc hunter, back around level 40. It was all black leather (that he made personally). But within 5 levels, it was all replaced with better enhancement gear.
I like my human priest’s slutty look right now. It’s just fun eye candy. But within a few levels, she’ll have a completely different look. Hell, 2 levels ago, she was in full robes. Every time I see my friend’s characters, they have all new gear and a completely different look.

Felreaver are fantastic! Felreavers are infuriating! Huge, walking, mechanical, level 70 elite monsters that patrol through Hellfire Peninsula (HP), the first zone of Outland. Most characters exploring, questing, or hunting in HP are around levels 58-63, so the felreavers are far beyond what we can fight. You always have to keep an eye and ear open for these behemoths.
I think there are three felreavers in the zone, and they have a mechanical howl and make the ground shake when they are near you. These warnings and their sheer size are usually enough to keep you from being surprised by them, but occasionally they approach while you are engaged with another monster.
I got caught by one. They are brutal. My pet and I took massive damage: 1819, 2079, 1845. These were not crits; they were normal damage.
After rezzing, I went on to make level 61. I broke through the former level max. Huzzah!

I installed the Burning Crusade (BC) expansion for WoW. I took my orc hunter through the Dark Portal. Holy freakin’. . . Outland is awesome.
In about 2 hours of half looking around and half actually doing quests and hunting, I made around 30 gold. I can’t remember ever making 30 gold in 2 hours before BC. Not without waiting for stuff to sell on the Auction House. But this gold was in-hand, from dropped coin and vendor trash and quest rewards. Had I been actually fully engaged in questing, instead of rubbernecking at all the cool scenery, I probably would have doubled that amount.
I couldn’t find a hunter trainer in Thrallmar; is one there? Is there an AH in Outlands? Or do I have to travel back out the portal and fly to Org to get training?

I haven’t played WoW in a couple months. I just kind of dropped it. I got the urge to pull out some of my older games, like Diablo II and some first person shooters.
I used to have some interesting and fun characters in online Diablo II: a level 63 necromancer with an army of skeletons, a level 28 paladin with Aura of Thorns, and a sheer awesome level 32 barbarian. But those characters were deleted from the Diablo II servers for lack of playing. (If you don’t play a character for 90 days, it gets deleted.)
I really liked those characters, so I started trying to rebuild them. The level 63 necromancer was the most fun, and the easiest too. With a dozen skeletons to do my fighting, I could just stand back and watch. I didn’t have to constantly click on enemies. But building back from the ground up is long and tedious. It wasn’t as much fun as the first time.
So, I’m considering picking up Burning Crusade for WoW, and logging in again.
