Daddy Relaxes
My wife and sons got me a Shiatsu Massage Cushion from The Sharper Image for Christmas. Here’s what it looks like when strapped into my home office desk chair:
Those red lights are balls that roll around and move up and down from the bottom to the top.
Here’s what it looks like with a lazy good ol’ boy enjoying it:
Yeah, I’m working hard. Listening to some Led Zepplin, (Christmas gift from my bother). I had to listen to rock and roll just to balance out the relaxation, else my heart rate would fall too low in the comfort. If I had been listening to something like Enya, I fear my heart would just completely stop.
Honestly, I didn’t expect that mechanical massage cushion to actual feel good, but I was totally surprised. No, it’s not equal to living hands, especially on bare skin, but I gotta admit, it’s good. It automatically turns off after 15 minutes, (I guess so you don’t massage yourself to death), and I clicked it back on repeatedly for a couple hours in a row before I decided I probably should get up and move around.
Between the mechanical movements and the heat option, I wonder what our electric bill will look like each month if I use this regularly.

Does it really feel like a massage? I have read that some bloggers are paid to write about stuff. Is this advertisement?
I would give you a real massage.
EdMayor: It feels closer to a real massage than I expected a mechanical seat cushion to be able to replicate. No, I am not being paid to say this.
MillieOr: Thank you, but I have a real wife who can give a real massage when I need one.
You sir have a awesome office!
Yes, I do. Thank you.
