Thank you for your call, Candy. I appreciate you making contact, and I’m honored that you want a call back. But I’m in a serious relationship, now. Serious as in, I’m married (for 13 years) with two young children. Yeah, sorry about that. I didn’t know I’d ever hear from you.

But then, even if you had contacted me earlier, I just don’t think it could have worked out. I mean, my wife is great, and I just can’t imagine anyone better. I don’t want to think about the tragedy of fate that would have caused me to miss Cowgrit.

I’m sure you’re a great girl, but please understand that you probably wouldn’t even want to contact me now had I not crossed paths with Cowgrit back in 1990. I’m the man I am only because of Cowgrit’s guidance over the past near two decades. I don’t think anyone, even you, could have done as good a job with me. I’ve not been an easy project.

So, again, thanks for the call, but please go on with your life. Forget about me and what you think could have been. I don’t think I could have lived up to your expectations, and I don’t think you could live up to Cowgrit’s proven record. Just throw my phone number in the trash and put me out of your mind.

If I don’t hear back from you, I’ll go on the assumption that you understand my point. There’s no need for you to call me and thank me. Although there’s only room for one woman in my life, and that one woman can only be Cowgrit, I’ll always remember your phone message and the depth of emotion behind it. Live your life. I hope you can find someone to make you as happy as you always imagined I could make you.
