Categories: LifeCowgrit wanted me to get my cholesterol checked. She’s concerned about my health because I’m getting older, and my diet is . . . less than good. I don’t feel unhealthy. I get some exercise each day — I can run and jump and climb stuff with my boys. I’m not fat — I can see and touch my feet.
So I had some blood drawn for the tests. I just got back the numbers, and in the words of the nurse at the doctor’s office, “You’re good.” All my numbers — more than just cholesterol — are deep in the healthy range. Ha! My meat and potatoes (and desert) diet isn’t killing me.
My personal gauge of healthiness is whether I can pick Cowgrit up off the floor. When it comes that I can’t lift her up, then I’ll say that one of us has a problem. But with my “over 40″ status now, I fear that I’ll be the first to have the problem. I’m more likely to be the one whose body starts failing the lifting test. Maybe I need to tempt her with cake and ice cream more often. Skinny chick.

cg7 can lift cowgrit off the floor…she’s no bigger than a minute….so that isn’t a good test. although….you may be “deep in the healthy range” but i have noticed you are getting that “over 40″ body. not all of us can have my body and be able to eat anything. i would say, do a couple of laps around the block…..
Will you both STOP talking about age! I don’t know why you keep saying you are getting older, you can’t be when I am only 40. (grin)

Boys, Boys, Boys! You guys sound like those 5 & 10 year olds I remember. But you are both too “old” for me to send to your rooms, although that was not punishment to Bullgrit, he was like Burr Rabbit, “Please don’t throw me in that briar patch” Now brogrit, that was a different story…..should I continue?

i’m on the jenny crack diet…get it right….and my age depends on how old the girl that i ask is….if she is 21, i look 27, f she is 25+ thy get a little closer…..i have to thank our parents for the good genes…..bullgrit….i swear you don’t look a day over 39……ok….truce…..
